Age is just a number

I was walking to get on to the subway in Union Square and I saw this interesting image. A little boy, maybe five or six years old was playing chess with a man in his mid-40s or 50s. I just had to stop and watch and see how this chess match was going to turn out against two people that were at the opposite ends of the age spectrum. I know that these chess matches are intense in Union Square because these are people who have experience. They know when to move that pawn and when to strike back and"CHECK-MATE!"This boy knew his stuff. He did not have as many pieces as the man but still, I was rooting for him.

Scenes like these that I run into just add to the whimsical and always surprising nature of New York City
