First Day

Today was my first day volunteering at MILK Studios. It's a notable studio that does everything from photoshoots, fashion events, fashion shows, basically a place where magic happens. When I arrived, there was already a fashion blogging event going on with a panel of some famous fashion bloggers (the ever so beautiful Coco Rocha was there) telling their experiences and giving advice to other bloggers. One of the head volunteers escorted me and other volunteers to change into our uniform clothes that included a graphic tee and True Religion jeans.
NOTE: I AM NOT A JEAN PERSON-I DISLIKE PANTS.
Surprisingly, True Religion jeans are really comfortable and stretchy.

In the beginning, I did a lot of standing around and waiting patiently to be called on to help. I jumped, raised my hand, or stepped up front to assist as much as I could. It was a bit of competition with the other volunteers to be one of the ones to help with anything that the studio people asked for. But every volunteer wanted to do something because if we have to be there for 6 hours, why not get the most out of it?
I took every task that they told me to do with diligence, even if it was minor. I vigorously pulled off stickers on a wall, throwing out trash, getting bottles of some disgusting juice, cleaning mirrors, moving equipment to the Standard Hotel, heavy lifting, and etc. I guess I wanted to show I was a very hard worker and "impress" the people in charge. Overall, I enjoyed the experience. I was excited that I was a part of something big. There were some people that had a bit of an attitude and did not want much assistance from us volunteers but you just IGNORE their NEGATIVITY! It was also helpful that I was around people that had the same interests in me to help out and learn.

One of the perks to volunteering is that you GET ALL THE FREE GOODIES THAT PEOPLE
LEAVE BEHIND! (mhmm..so it was worth volunteering. joking~)
