A. WANG

This past Saturday, I volunteered again at MILK studio. I helped move equipment from the Standard Hotel to MILK Studios. I was suppose to help with the production of A.Wang's after party. But apparently it was at a "secret" location and you could only be taken by a SUV or walk there if you knew where it was. Luckily, I got my way to walking over to the location with other interns.

The theme of the party was "Frat House."

When we arrived at Pier50, there were already construction workers building up the walls, carpet, and rest of the place. I was just excited that I was going to be at the after party so I did everything and anything that people in charge told me to do. Such colorful activities included moving 50 pounds of ice, sticking Trojan condoms on the sides of walls, and putting up colorful lights around the side railings of the Chelsea Pier 50. YEAH! FUNN!

The end product looked preeetttyy good.

People began to come in around 10 p.m. I did not know the most of the people coming in. I bet they were people just working in the business or just rich kids. My friend and I were greeters so we had to be EXTRA welcoming. (smiling for 30 minutes hurts the jaw)
I started seeing some famous faces. Strangely, I did not get star struck, just said "Hi, Welcome to the after-party." But I have to admit, it was cool seeing people that you saw in the magazines.

After greeting for a bit, my friend and I needed to have some fun that other interns were enjoying on the dance floor.

Later that night, a band came out to play. Well, I wouldn't really call it a band, but an artist
The name of the artists, ODD FUTURE. Their "leader-" Tyler, the Creator. I like them. They aren't the most mature group of people but hey, that's who they are. Their rap sounds aggressive and angry but the content is the typical of any rap star- girls, money, material, anger.

(Apologies about the quality of the pictures. It's hard taking a good picture when people are pushing)

The performance was crazzyy good. In the end, I think the people on the ground were crazier. After their performance, people just started flooding the top of the stage. I was around that area and badly elbowed in the eye. Plus, some crazy drunk person starting spraying vodka out to the crowd which got in my eyes.

I had a little more fun dancing around but it was already 1am and I did not want to go home late. I left with the load of magazines they had out at the party. Tonight was an amazing night and
Just another day volunteering for MILK Studios...................
